The 2025 edition of the Young Researchers' Day in Robotics (JJCR) will take place on Monday, September 29, inRennes, at the IRISA auditorium.
Since 1993, this event has aimed to bring together PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and young researchers from various fields of robotics to share their latest work and strengthen connections within the community.
We would be delighted to welcome you, whether to present your work, attend the presentations, or take part in our roundtable discussions!
This year, the JJCR is held in conjunction with the National Robotics Research Days (JNRR), which will take place at IRISA for the rest of the week (from September 30 to October 3).
Registration
Registrations can be made via the JNRR website. Registrations are joint between JJCR / JNRR.
Participation
PhD students of all years, postdoctoral researchers, as well as engineers — we warmly invite all of you to contribute to this event, either by attending or by presenting your work to everyone.
To do so, we first invite you to submit in the "Submission" tab an abstract of up to 500 words briefly describing what you intend to present at the conference. This abstract may include images and references and will help us organize the day’s program. More information is available in the "Abstract Guidelines" section.
During the event, depending on the progress of your research or simply your preference, you will have the opportunity to present published or unpublished work in one of three formats:
Mini-conference: A 10–15 minute presentation (depending on the number of participants), followed by up to 5 minutes of questions.
My thesis in 180 seconds: A 3-minute pitch of your work with a single presentation slide. This format is inspired by the MT180 competition (https://www.youtube.com/@MT180_fr).
Posters: We encourage anyone wishing to present their work to submit a poster, even if you are presenting in another format as well. Please bring your poster printed in A0 portrait format. (For those also taking part in the JNRR, a poster session is also planned for Tuesday 30 September from 3.30pm to 5pm, giving you the opportunity to present your work to the rest of the community).
For the sake of inclusivity and to provide practice for international conferences, we strongly encourage all presenters to prepare their slides, posters, and oral presentations in English. Discussions and questions, however, may be conducted in either English or French.
Finally, roundtable discussions between researchers and engineers from academia and the GdR will be organized around topics related to robotics research within the academic community.
